1. Description of Service #
This is a privately operated, self-hosted instance of the Postiz open-source software. We provide tools to help you schedule, manage, and analyze social media content. Because this is self-hosted, we (the operator) provide the infrastructure, not the Postiz core developers.
2. Eligibility & Accounts #
- Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. Anything that happens under your account is on you.
- Authorized Use: You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn’t infringe on the rights of others.
3. Prohibited Conduct #
To keep this instance running smoothly, you agree not to:
- Use the service to distribute spam, malware, or illegal content.
- Attempt to bypass any security measures or “hack” the instance.
- Violate the Terms of Service of the social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, etc.) you connect to this instance.
- Automate the creation of accounts or use the API in a way that degrades performance for others.
4. Content & Data Ownership #
- Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you upload or schedule.
- Our Access: As the instance administrator, I have the technical ability to access the database for maintenance, troubleshooting, or legal compliance. I promise not to be a creep about it, but you should know the “root” user always has the keys.
- Data Loss: While I perform regular backups [Modify if you don’t], I cannot guarantee 100% data integrity. You should keep copies of your important media.
5. Privacy & Third Parties #
- Social APIs: Postiz connects to third-party APIs. Your use of those features is subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Analytics: We may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, timestamps) for security and performance monitoring.
6. Termination #
I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these terms or if the cost of hosting becomes unsustainable. (Basically: play nice or the party ends).
7. Limitation of Liability #
The service is provided “AS IS.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Your Name/Entity] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (like losing your “influencer” status because a post failed to send).
8. Changes to Terms #
I may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are major, I’ll send a ping or post a notice on the dashboard. Continued use after changes means you’re cool with the new rules.
